In dogs and cats, symptoms related to adverse reactions to food are very common and can affect the most diverse organs. In small animals, as in humans, the symptoms related to adverse reactions to food can affect various systems: gastrointestinal, cutaneous, otological, ocular, nervous, urinary and respiratory. Recurrent external and / or middle ear infections are seen in more than 80% of dogs with an adverse food reaction. In more than 20% of cases it can even manifest itself as the only symptom. This disorder is particularly frustrating for various reasons: poor response to drugs, continuous relapses, dissatisfaction of the owners, objective difficulty in the topical and even systemic treatment of drugs by the owner.
